In regards to the " in-your-face approach ", I think he picked that up from Saban. He was always emotional and fired up while a DC, but I don't remember him doing this kind of thing; he is overdoing it to be of any good. He has to pick on the right players............

Being emotional and "Fiery" in temperament CAN be good things.

Pelini and Mushcamp are just plain nuts. I'd be scared to play for them. Really.

And we're seeing their public faces - how nuts are they in private?

Someone needs to tell them there are medications for all that rage.

Yeah, he was working some potty mouth throughout the game, questioning his offenders' parentage and generally giving an impersonation of WVU's Coach Holgorsen.

Contrast the above with CLM on our sidelines, politely questioning the LJ's & pretty much asking "how's the wife & kids," "nice day today, huh," and "have you had a want to taste a few sprigs of new shoots at the 30 yard marker?"

    (Things like that).

CLM is a class act, a glaring contrast to the opposing coaches.

I used to complain that Miles never chews out his players for making mistakes and why he never showed emotion on the sidelines like other coaches.

I will NEVER ever complain about that again.

Miles handles things correctly. Stern but constructive in his criticism. These kids respect that and know not to eff up that way again.

    i agree.

i have the feeling when a player screws up in a game, doing something just totally stupid, and what we see that some people interpret as soft on players is just miles not embarrassing himself or the kid. and then said kid does a lot of running the next practice. i dont believe there are no consequences for stupid mistakes. we just dont see them.

seems to me the loco type of behavior we see is something players are gonna eventually just tune out. being irrational and nuts doesnt garner respect, and is not an attitude that is learned from. mature and rational is. give respect, get respect.

Nothing good can come from kicking 2 players off of the team in mid season for blowing a play. It was a hasty and irrational dicision, which definitely confirms that Muschamp is just another hot head and does not belong at the head coaching position.

That being said, I'm glad he is doing that kind of stuff at Florida! Thanks for showing your a$$ and helping our case for all of those nice Florida recruits!!!

He chews out players on the sidelines who commit late hits or other personal fouls. Seen it a couple of times this year.

Can you imagine what would have been said on the Florida sideline if it was a florida td called back on a fake punt like what happened to wing?

I don't think that what Wing did was stupid, but Sam Montgomery was saying that Wing would be doing some running today for it.

    Definitely backs up your feeling.

you cant do this publically without it hurting recruiting. WM needs to tone it down. these emotional outbursts are cute as an assistant, not as the face of an sec elite.
