This is why I stopped here at TF and found a home. I love this forum, used to mainly read, but have felt that my knowledge of LSU and confidence has increased because of all the reading I do here, so now I post a bit more. GiantDuckFan - You are One in a million when it comes to opposing posters, I hope you stick around for years and become the representative of UO. As I have said many times, Oregon is now among the elite, the fun (and Hate ) is just getting started brother :thumb:
I can’t agree more, izzy said it to, as soon as Oregon rolls Nevada next week and Hangs 60 on them all the talk of Oregon excuses and not being prepared, missing Cliff, blah, blah, blah will start rolling out "LSU didn’t face this team, this team is much improved" I can hear it now. But it doesn’t matter, because we settled it on the field, on neutral turf, 40-27 - LSU is the better team - It’s been settled! Lets move on with our respective schedules, Our much more respected than Oregon’s – Just had to toss that bit in there
If you are going to refer to all your excuses as to why you lost, then go ahead and start now. I haven’t beat my chest, I am proud of the LSU Tiger Football Program. They earned that win Saturday, and after everything they have gone through, it just tasted that much sweeter. But I can promise you, the Ducks are old news by now. Tigers are focused on week 2 and fixing ALL the mistakes THEY made. Because trust me, as you guys made mistakes, so did we, if we would have played a "Perfect" game, that score would have been much different. - Dropped Pick Six - Multiple dropped 1st down passes - Miscue and embarrassing snap that cost us a possession - Lost Fumble - Leading with Helmet call that set Oregon up to Score - Missed extra point - Holding Penalty on a long 3rd down pass that had been thrown perfect would have gone for 6 - Missed tackles AND, we played without JJ, RS and possibly one of our best OL If I forgot anything, please add it. I am just saying, that yes, you guys had your issues, but so did we, and we are looking to improve, scary isnt it! -
Same here. I like the big Duck......... LSU_4_LIFE, I'm still in Houston, heading back to BTR tonight. Got a few things left to do in Houston today.
Enjoy the breeze, its amazing that last week it hit 109 and it was 58 outside this morning. - That's Reno,NV type weather I am keeping eye on these wildfires, only 30 miles from my neighborhood.
I'm enjoying the temps. Got an invite to practice at Rice. May catch a meal with friends, then a drive back to BTR. Careful with the fires.
how long are we going to have oregon fans on TF? Is there really no where for them to discuss their team? no disrespect GDF. It sucks for you if there really is no decent Oregon forum for you to frequent. Just seems odd at this point although your presence after the game is admirable. seems like all the other ones have high tailed it which is how it should be. The game is in the books and we should be moving on. Don't know why we are still discussing it. Oregon is a fine team that had a rough one and was overwhelmed. I'm sure they will have a great season in the Pac12 but the game went pretty much exactly the way we were telling you guys.
I don’t mind keeping an ongoing Oregon forum, discussing Oregon Football. That win will play to our favor down the road if Oregon keeps winning out. So to discuss and monitor their progress seems ok with me, besides, they are the only team we have faced, and we have to watch for similarities between them and Moo U, WVU, UF so we can discuss our possible problems & strengths.
