    ..

You are right about, no quicker than anyone else. The article was about LSU Fans, not anyone else.

Florida, fans are a good example. Zook never had a chance. The man was destin to be fired.

"It dosen't matter who wrote the article, it rings true. LSU fans are quick to get down on players and coaches. It didn't just start this season."

It also doesn't just happen at LSU. I've heard booing at Miami this year during the Louisville(quite a bit I might add). I heard booing last at Texas when the Piggies torched them, I've heard booing at ND during Willingham's tenure. Booing happens across the nation & no school is exempt from it when fans become disgruntled. Do I like it?...no, do I boo?....no, but for Timmy B. to insinuate that this occurs only in TS is BS.

My problem with the school of thought of "Well, the truth hurts, and the LSU fans need to hear it" is that the fans who 'need to hear it' probably won't. What it does do is continue to spin LSU fans in a negative light to the rest of the nation.

These kind of problem should be solved 'in-house' so to speak, and not aired out all over the national media.

This notion that everyone boos, therefore it's ok for us to do so is crap. You wanna be like everyone else or do you wanna be better than everyone else? Do you want a classless coach just because other schools have them? Do you want thugs on our team because other schools have them? Do you want a middle of the road football program because most other programs are medicore?

Unfortunately, booing and poor fan behavior will always be a part of sports. But does that mean you just accept it and not try to minimize it?

There are alot of problems in our society, do we just stick our heads in the sand and look the other way? Or do we talk about it and try to do something about it?

You have two choices ... be a part of the solution or be a part of the problem!

I think we all know which choice you've made...

What do you want Saban to do? Do you want him to publicly rip into his team, like you have all year? Would that make you feel better?

You don't think Saban knows what the problems are with this team? You don't think he's doing everything he can to correct the problems? The man built a football program that most of us haven't seen in our lifetime. He's human, so he'll make mistakes ... but this team is 4-2 with the potential of going 9-2. Yeah, it's disappointing to be out of the hunt for Atlanta and it's disappointing to see us struggle. But given Saban's history here, I have to think it'll get better.

I find it interesting that some people love to be critical of everyone else, but yet they can't handle it when that finger is pointed back in their direction.

I must admit i have boooed at games before.

But never at a coach or player.

I boo official bad cals and officials.

That is the way you let them know that they made a bad call.

I boo officials even when they make good calls if it is against the tigers.

When i was at NLU ( Now ULM ) me and my roommate were at the basketball game and one of the referee's came over during the timeout and offered us his whistle if we thought he was so bad. He really was too. A horrible official. We considered that a victory because at least we let him know how horrible he was. He must have been a Tech graduate because all Tech people stink to high heaven.

If i had been at the Auburn game you can bet i would have been booing the officials there at that game.

    Thats my 2 cents.

The sad thing is there is nothing that anyone can do about it. If you tell the drunk students not to boo during the game, they will get pissed and say that you can't tell them what to do, and boo anyway.

"Do you want him to publicly rip into his team"

Well, he has brought up JR's deficiencies publicly rather through a Gridiron Club meeting or on his radio show. He also pointed out in his radio show Wednesday night about JV showing up overweight in August. Saban points out player performance just like fans discuss it on message boards. JMO.
