The night of the 2001 SECCG, my daughter (who was only four months old at the time) was sick, so going anywhere for the game was completely out of the question. Then, the Dallas CBS affiliate pre-empted the SECCG for the Dallas Mavericks vs. the Lakers.

Fortunately, before I threw something heavy at my TV, my husband found it on an alternative station.

I'm glad everyone here has their priorities in line ... and a real Tiger fan wouldn't let a little ole funeral stand in their way either! ;)

You're right about that. They will still be dead when the game is over so its not like the deceased is going anywhere.

A true Tiger fan would wait until after the season to die.

I was at a cotillion the night of the SECCG in 2001. My date just did not understand why I insisted on standing crowded around a little black and white 10 inch TV instead od dancing with him. Needless to say, we were not together long :dis:

    gameday wedding

Hey guys, if my gf is insistent on getting married on a gameday, is it acceptable to get married at the Tailgate party. I haven't approached that idea to her yet, but she is dead set on a fall wedding. Talk about a hell of a reception.

    Nice shot Friday!

    Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

Weren't YOU the one with the MORE IMPORTANT wedding plans that preceded an LSU game???

    Life comes before LSU football?????

LSU FOOTBALL IS ALWAYS A PRIORITY.

    I CALLED MY SHOT, DUDE.

I MADE MY PLANS TO INCLUDE A GAME, TO BOOT

    Will you??????

Better to live one day on your feet than a lifetime on your knees.

There are 350+ OTHER days in the year to get married to dedicate a whole day to.

BTW I'd rather wear any pants any day than have my YARBLES hangin' out...

See about getting married at the 50-yard line before a game. THAT would be a hell of a reception...90,000+ guests. I think this has been done before. I know people have gotten married at home plate at the Box.

i thought it was louisiana law that you had to check the football schedule before picking your wedding date. if the wedding was in louisiana the priest wouldn't marry you on game day.
