This. Plus the fact that he had his mind made up pretty early in the process that he wanted to play for an out of state school.
He actually wanted to stay close to home and recently expressed that to LSU but we couldn't make any promises we would have room come NSD. LSU and staff decided to pass on him months ago because of some off the field stuff and even some on the field stuff. LSU staff has a few kids attending and playing ball at U-high so they know the situation. Actually worked out good for him IMO. LSU was recruiting him strictly at DE and that would mean a Mingo type body transformation but even more given his frame. Probably a 2-3 year project. Bama may have a chance to get him ready slightly earlier at LB but he still needs at least 40 pounds added. Miami was a no go because of his child and distance. This gives him a mid point.
not the case at all, he was a little upset because LSU kind of backed off of him because of off the field issues.
