Decent game. Still shows how long UGA has to go to reach the CWS as our bats are what will prevent us while I think its pretty obvious LSU just had a bad game in the box. LSU has lost early before in the SEC Tournament in previous years and ended up either going to Omaha or winning it so I doubt this affects them too much.
hmmmm..I detect sarcasm from our Auburn friend. there is nothing great about losing. people do not remember who finished anywhere besides #1 unless you are USC in 2003 or Clay Aiken. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Not so this time. LSU lost to Florida yesterday so they are now eliminated. This is first time in many years LSU has gone 0-2 in the tournament.
I'm going to look at it this way. We are a lock to host a regional, though we may have lost our chance to host a super regional. Our pitching is coming around and we can rest all of the arms until next week. Playing through the loser's bracket would use our entire staff. The SEC tourney would be nice to win, but of the 3 tourneys, that's the one I least mind losing.
Even better. If we could see the team step it up a notch for the rest of the year, I would not cry out if the season ends short of a CWS championship. I'd like to see a little more intensity, a few less mistakes, etc. But what the hell do I know? I haven't SEEN a single inning of LSU baseball this seaon. Psychologically, I think the team needs to realize that the season is almost over (whether we win out or not) and it's time for us to play like champions.
