Georgia's closer, Startup, made us look like we were just going through the motions. That guy was unhittable. We had a chance to do some damage early and didn't. Good pitching beats good hitting everytime. Unfortunately for Mestepay, it didn't work out that way for us. He looked like his old self today. Look for him to get us a win in game 1 of the Regional. The SEC tourney is over. Let's look ahead.

0-2 in the tourney for the first time since 1985.

I would much rather see LSU lose 1-0 than win 11-10. Pitching wins championships. We already know that LSU can score runs, and they will do so in the regionals. But what LSU needs is starting pitching to shut down the other team. If this is the Mestepay that we will see in the regionals and further on down the line, then LSU has a good chance to win it all.

I would rather see LSU win than lose no matter if its 121-120. Baseball is the kind of game where a team can win 14-12 one day and win or lose 1-0 the next.
