LSU Has Best Record in SEC over last 5 years

    Quite frankly, the program is about where it is supposed to be if you consider the intent of the NCAA with their sanctions. In fact, I'd dare say the PTB in the NCAA didn't expect the team to be as competitive as it has been.

    There is a lot of disatisfaction right now about Alabama...but, it is something that isn't a part of the effects from said sanctions.

    That could really worry you if Bama had another major infraction. It might tempt the NCAA to hammer Bama harder to produce the results that they wanted.

    Sanctions will damn sure take the starch out of a team, as LSU basketball found out in the 90's. It took six years to get past it.

    Meaning Bama is perhaps past the lingering effects of sanctions? Heaven knows LSU went through three coaches in the 90's before we found a keeper. But every coaching change sets back recruiting a year. Bama really needs to find one that can stick around for a while.
