Since Les has made it to LSU, 15 DB's have been drafted into the NFL, 4 in the first round, 2 in the second, 4 in the third, 3 in the fourth, and one each in the 5th and 7th. To add, when Saivion Smith signs in Feb, Les and the staff will have signed at least one five-star DB in four straight classes.
You're gonna be able to add Tre White, Jalen Mills, and Jamal Adams eventually. I'm sure I'm leaving others out but I'm tired and it's early.
Vernon Hargreaves III: LSU DBs ‘not even close’ to Florida’s Christopher Smith July 13, 2015 @ 6:19pm HOOVER, Ala. — Whether or not Florida competes for an SEC East title in 2015, two-time All-American Vernon Hargreaves III feels mighty confident in the team’s defensive backs. Along with Brian Poole (4 INTs last year), Jalen Tabor (good enough to bump Poole from a starting spot) and Keanu Neal (a breakout candidate at safety), the Gators are loaded on the back end. But so is LSU, with Jalen Mills, Tre’Davious White, Kevin Toliver III, Jamal Adams and Ed Paris. The Tigers traditionally are known as DBU for a recent spate of NFL draft picks at cornerback and safety. The two units apparently have engaged in a Twitter argument about which team deserves the DBU moniker. “We tried not to get into the whole Twitter debate about ‘who is DBU?'” Hargreaves said Monday at SEC Media Days. “We’re just going to let the season play out for itself and then at the end of the season it won’t be close.” Strong words from perhaps the nation’s best cornerback in 2015. Hargreaves also said the three best receivers he’s faced thus far are Odell Beckham Jr., Amari Cooper and Jarvis Landry. He’s most looking forward to competing with Laquon Treadwell of Ole Miss (Oct. 3). Normally, coaches don’t want their players talking that loud, especially at the collegiate level. Florida does play at LSU on Oct. 17, so these two teams will get the chance to settle the argument on the field, or at least go after each other with fervor. But perhaps Hargreaves, who has a great chance at the rare three-time All-American status, has earned the right to do his best Richard Sherman impression. “I love the way this guy comes to work every day,” coach Jim McElwain said at Media Days. “That’s what I think separates some of the guys at times is the ones that really, truly go out there and compete every day to perfect their craft. He’s one of those guys. He’s a lot of fun to be around, and he’s great to watch on tape.”
Well, LSU does have more DB's in the NFL. And of lately, many Fla. players are leaving the state, to play in La. Hargreaves is a very good player. Ask Fournette......
