LSU might suck for a while: https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/lsu-football/lsu-is-down-and-it-might-be-out-for-a-while/
If Orgeron completely craps the bed down the stretch and goes 0-for-the-SEC, there will be hell to pay if both he and Alleva aren't sent packing. My gut says the money will be there, but it's entirely contingent on Alleva getting run out of BR.
I was going to start the same exact thread; you beat me to it. Booger McFarland tweeted the same thing this morning: "LSU- soft on both o and d line, Key is playing for the NFL not for LSU , Canada looks lost on offense and Coach O has to fix it , sooooft" I am inclined to agree, and never thought we would ever describe an LSU team as soft. This is quite a mess.
That state of the union statement right there tells you why Alexa needs to be fired. What a cluster to be caught in. Fumbled the Miles termination then getting caught without a replacement and putting a band aid.
I read this in an article this morning. There is this silly notion going around that LSU is both young and lacks talent. Let that end here. Fourteen of LSU’s starters against Troy were either juniors or seniors. As for talent, LSU’s last four recruiting classes have ranked seventh, second, fifth and second nationally. The Tigers have more players currently on NFL rosters than any other program and boast a handful of players sure to hear their names called this spring as well. Maybe this LSU team isn’t experienced or talented enough to win the SEC or compete for a national title, but it should be plenty good enough to beat a three-touchdown underdog in its own stadium. You people can try and protect Coach O all you want. But at some point you will wake up. Experience and talent aren’t the main problem, it is obvious that coaching is where these Tigers are deficient. Until that's corrected "the right way" we will be a bottom feeder with no bowl appearances and our recruiting classes are only going to get worse.
