And Bama hung 47 points on Kent State ..... and I guess you call that impressive???

If it weren't for Mr. A.D.D. and his brain farts that he frequently committed last year ... AR would have and should have beat Bama. T. Wilson is every bit the QB that Mallet was .. IMO .. more so.

I wouldn't be going on pissing on AR like you guys do. They've taken 3 of the last 4 contest in the Golden Boot. ... and the only loss was because of a very crappy FG kicker.

There's MORE to the SEC West than just LSU and Bama ... I'm just sayin'!

It was a classic example of Saban getting too conservative and trying to sit on a lead, which had us on our heels for the whole 4th quarter of that game.

You're right and there's more to a football game than 30 minutes and more to a full season than one game. LSU and Alabama have proven they can finish a game and a season. Arkansas, up to this point hasn't. Yeah, I agree, they have the offensive talent to beat us up and down the field but our staff made just enough adjustments last year to force Mallet to get happy feet in the second half and start rattling him, forcing him to make stupid decisions, which cost them the game.

Hey, I don't disagree with you. Arkansas has the potential to beat us and beat us bad. But on the other side of that same coin we have the defense to shut them down and have the talent on offense to blow them out as well. So it comes down, again, to who can execute in the most crucial times of the game that brings their team out with the "W". And up to this point Arky has been known to show flashes of greatness then find away to piss it away. I'll hang my hat on our defense and our running game to pull out another win this year against them.

I never said that Alabama impressed me, just like I never said that Arkansas impressed me. Yes, Arkansas has given us fits over the last few years, but so have many teams, the difference is Arkansas got the W and others didnt.

We havent exactly been blowing ANYBODY out the last few years (Except Oregon :D).

Sorry, but I am not sold on Arkansas, not attempting to piss on them, just not sold. We gave up 2) 80 yard touchdowns to them last year (Completely out of the norm for our defense) - 9 times out of 10 LSU doesnt give those up, and we win that game

This is a great point....I think right now these two programs are mirror images of each other....maybe lsu has the advantage in special teams......but come Nov 5th.....whomever has the better QB play will probably win it.

I have a question. Last year the gumps started the season highly ranked and then chit their pants. What makes this year diffrent? Why do they come in with many writers proclaiming then national championship shoe ins. They have two unproven qb's. Why all the bama love? I'm not sayin they don't deserve it but what makes this years team any diffrent than the team that fell apart last year?

    Nick Saban

The ESPN analyst wet their pants at the thought of a Nick Saban vs Bob Stoops re-match, especially back in the superdome!
