If you also remember, Bama was ranked third in the nation while LSU was ranked fifth in the nation. So Bama was the favorite to win that game. Still we got it done.:thumb:
CFN does have a few writers that aren't that bad to read. However, when I see their prognostications, I'm always reminded of what they said in '03. Auburn, national champs, who started 0-2. I think LSU was favored in that game. Can't remember to be 100% sure. I do remember I thought we would lose the game.
BAMA will be stronger , LSU is Stronger, who wants to win the most ?? Who wants too look good the most ??< Will Nick , want to shut the Tiger fans up or will he understand the pain ? We know he vcan coach, but like he knows us we know Nick. We know what he likes and you better know we know what he hates !! LOVE AND HATE < NICK AND THE TIGER FANS < That is how youdefine that sentence. LOVE AND HATE !! WE love him BUT we HATE him ! So Terry , you cannot come in with the old SEC chatter , it is not the game anymore. For one of us left and when we saw him again he was one of you !. This is Football!! You do not do That !! The SEC is stronger , zit is good to him back , even if he is with you , he is a great /good/maybe/great coach . He will do some GREAT things at Bama ! But we are gonna beat him !! Tell him Sully said that
Back in the days of Paul 'BEAR' Bryant and unlimited scholarships, 'Bama used to recruit just as much talent away from its competition as 'Bama used to recruit for playing time. There are simply too many top coaches in the SEC to overlook the talent that may very well end up lining up against you.
   Try 6-6. Maybe 7-6 with a bowl. With losses to Saban's former OC and Auburn... December = melt down in T-town.
I'm confident that wasn't CFN, it was TSN (The Sporting News). But your point was valid nonetheless. Auburn was overrated, and many of us said as much at the time. Respectfully, I do. Bama has improved considerably in terms of it's staff and its "team attitude", but there's no quick-fix to their depth concerns without bringing in the jucos. IMO, Saban is smart to grow it organically rather than thru jucos, but it doesn't change life in the SEC - where injuries will take their toll by season's end. IMHO, September will be the key for bama. The worst case scenario would be 1-4 in Sept, the best case would be 3-2. I'll split the difference and say they go 2-3 which will lead The Next Bear to a 7-5 mark in his first year at the Capstone. I don't think the Bama-D will have an answer for K-will and company.
This is how I see Bama starting out Western Carolina - Bama leads by 10 or 7 at the half then tears it up in the second half. Not even a question W. @ Vandy - "Nickson to Bennett, First Down!" Expect to hear that a lot. If Vandy wins this game they could start the season 4-0 in a great position to go bowling. Early away test, this is the game that this Bama team should win but won't. L Arkansas - McFadden should just roll over the Bama DL. However, Bama should keep it close, but I mark this down as an L. Georgia - Georgia is a mystery to me right now. Stafford could make this team from average to good. Average means a win for Bama, good might mean another loss. Toss-up FSU - A pretty good Bama offense vs. a pretty good FSU defense. I think Bama squeaks by with a late FG. W 3-2 or 2-3 is easily the most likely situation. 4-1, 1-4, and 5-0 are very unlikely, but anything can happen. Then of course comes Houston, which could lead to a similar UAB situation for Saban. Ole Miss has beaten them twice in the last 15 years (three if you want to count a forfeit) so I am hesitant to call that upset. I would certainly take a loss to Bama if it meant we still got to the NCG.
What's different about Arkansas this upcoming season vs last year? Not to mention, the game is in T-town.
The depth concerns apply to the DT position. Great DE's, solid ILB's, good OLB's and a solid secondary. The offense has depth and a lot of returning talent.
