i have to admitt it the tigers do cause me to drink sometimes they cause me to drink too much like last year's homecoming game that i attended atleast that's what i was told b/c the last thing i remember is i was tailgatin! :geaux:
I've been waiting for a Saints thread ever since the pitiful 49ers almost beat them. I would have started one but I'm not supposed to care. :wink: There is an undercurrent of frustration about this sorry franchise and Bengal B's post brought some of it to the surface. By the way, I love referring to the 49ers as "pitiful".
We drafted Courtney Watson at LB out of Notre Dame, who had about 11 tackles vs Seattle and looked like the only one on the field who cared to be out there. He's going to be a good/great player if the Saints' atmosphere doesn't wear him down. We drafted Cie Grant out of Ohio State two years ago who has missed both seasons, and I believe has not started a single game. I think the coaching staff has not drafted more LB's because they expect production out of him. What disappoints me most is the complete inability to get decent players at the defensive back position. Jay Bellamy had a great year last year at SS, but we have several nobodies at both CB positions and FS. How can you go ANOTHER YEAR without drafting a cornerback? Especially since Poole, Gamble, and Colclough out of Tusculum were still available when they picked? I understand the reasoning by the Saints' coaching staff to get the best player available on the board (Smith) at the time that your pick comes up., but if you think the guy you want (D. Robinson) will go sooner, do whatever it takes! CB has been and will be the biggest weakness of the Saints' defense for some time.
I drink about 90% of the time I watch a football game, period. It's 100% when it's LSU or the Saints. Park myself in front of the big screen and crank the surround sound. Dog hates all that noise...LOL!

Benson makes me wonder all the time. He is the most heartless son of a bitch in th world when it comes to his otrher businesses, fires good people and puts his nephews and nieces on the payroll instead. But he keeps Haslett even though the Saints keep getting progressively worse. Of course I guess he was a little heartless when he fired the last GM.
You said it Dave.You don't get where Benson's at by being nice to people. I think he his an AHOLE to all fans. Demanding a new stadium after taking 30 years to build a Saints facility.
