I will be proven right on Etling however may take a while until we get our OL and WR more experience.
I sure hope our WR's grow up this year. A lot of football left to be played. Whatever happened to Jacoby Stevens seeing the field immediately? If the rest have stone hands and are playing over him, maybe he should switch back to DB.
There are far worse problems than Etling holding this team back. I do question his arm, but he is a gutsy kid. Until the OL can block better for the run game and hold protection in the pass no QB would be that successful. We also need WR's to step up. All that said, I wouldn't mind seeing more of Brennan from time to time. Just to see what he does with the first team.
We already have DB's who will play on Sundays one day sitting on the bench. That's probably why Stevens was eager to switch to WR.
Man you dont just tell a db to go play WR right away dont care what kind of athlete he is and you certainly cant start him until he knows the plays, can block and knows the reads. If he is not starting there is a reason. Hope you are not going to be one of these "fire the position coach" each week when we dont have a good game.
