1. that's the option you're thinking of.....never understood why anyone ever does that
  2. Switzer did quite well doing it. Of course he had quite the run of bad ass backs but...
  3. the sideline has always been considered a part of the defense, so I'll never understand why you would run an option play to the short side of the field, giving an advantage to the defense
    Richdog likes this.
  4. Can you imagine the backs LSU has now running the triple option? I don't think LSU could beat Alabama doing that because they are very disciplined but LSU would smoke just about every one else.
  5. i was talking about the bubble screen to the short side of the field
  6. Every team does it, so ask yourself why. Because it works. Because if you don't run to both sides you are predictable. Because sometimes the short side is the strong side. Because you can cut back or reverse to the wide side.
  7. Really? none of us knew that! thanks
  8. Well some people think you should never run to the short side. Which of course is wrong
  9. Doesn't matter which side we run that to cause we can't complete the effin pass.
  10. I like what I heard about this kid from Matt Muscona and from his coach at Zachary. They both said that he is a "coach on the field" type of guy. He was allowed to call his own audibles, spent a lot of time breaking down film, and was very involved in adapting their gameplan at halftime. Sounds like he has the "football IQ" to play at a high level.
