    NBC has their home games.
I wonder if the poor schmuck who thought up that deal is still in the TV business. Now, chances are that ABC, CBS and the ESPNs are carrying top 25 games while NBC is stuck with Syracuse or Rutgers at Notre Dame. Gotta love it.

That is right about the homes games. I was thinking the BYU game was a home game for Notre Dame. When the NBC contract ends Notre Dame will be playing football in the Big East. No network is going to pick up that contract unless things change.

If Notre Dame ever does join a conference it would probably be the Big 10. They already play Michigan and Michigan State every year and Purdue a lot of seasons and their only regular Big East rivalry team is Boston College which win be in the ACC in 2005.

Also, we heard presentations from the television networks that
broadcast SEC football and basketball games. As of last week no games were
finalized but, the way it looks today, our football games vs. Oregon State
and at Florida should be carried by ESPN, and CBS should televise our
games at Auburn and Georgia. CBS has already announced that it will
televise our game against Arkansas on November 26.

From Skip. May not be news but info anyway

How much money do networks offer the university to broadcast the game?? As much as I love winning, there is nothing like a night game in Tiger Stadium. Is there any way we could get games televised and still have them at night? Is it about ratings, or lighting and such?? Any help ya'll can give would be great.
