JJ did NOT kick a Marine in the head.

    That's beyond laughable.

I've talked with a parent of one of the players and this isn't going to be good.

    Batten down the hatches, folks.

So, there is a witness saying that she didn't see JJ throw a punch, another witness saying that JJ was trying to break it up. The rest of the players were advised not to talk about it yet and haven't.

On the other side there are 6 witnesses saying that JJ kicked a marine in the head while that marine was on the ground.

I don't know what really went down but if the incident wasn't caught on tape, and the players say they were defending themselves, I don't believe the police have enough for an arrest, unless they arrest everyone for DTP by fighting.

So if there isn't enough for an arrest, what does CLM do? Let him play? Everyone has there own opinion. Some people already have this terrible image in their minds without all of the facts.

A few things to consider concerning JJ's defense:
    • If he actually threw a punch...chances are he didn't connect
    • He may have been involved...but he definitely wasn't the leader
    • If he felt threatened...he probably ran or was tackled
    • He's not an aggressive guy
    • J. Lee wasn't there to step in and rescue him
    • He had no idea what time the clock showed
    • He couldn't comprehend his opponents' intentions
I wouldn't worry at this point but if he is charged...he can always blame it on the OC or fans.

Why would it be notable that the guy was a Marine anyway? I'm sure he wasn't there in uniform.

Look here slappy, the old Platoon Sgt is gonna help you out.

Lets start with pot meet kettle. I'll leave you to chew on that one after we cover a few other things.

Back in the day before I retired we had to give a safety brief prior to releasing the troops for the weekend. Don't drink and drive, don't sleep with 2 dollar hookers, all that jazz. Mine was really simple because I wanted to go home. I'd tell them "You do what you think your collar can handle". See, quick, efficient, to the point. They knew what responsibility they had and they knew if the phucked up I was going to have their ass.

It sort of holds true and had you read the entire thread you would have seen that I posted early and said I didn't care if he went out but "Road house" gets a big fat F = Fail for situational awareness. Oh the places I could go with this like, if he isn't smart enough to avoid this kind of crap is he smart enough to quarterback this team? That is a rhetorical question (means you don't have to answer it). If you have watched Mr. Swayze over the last few years surely you can admit he might want to spend some more time in the playbook, especially if there is a new one. Phuck he had the old one for 3 years and still didn't know a goddamn thing.

Bottom line here geronimo is that the season hasn't even started and we have already shot ourselves in the foot and that is indisputable. As many have said, the media is going to run with this regardless of what really happened. I'm surprised there aren't reports of murder and child rape already. I like everyone else know next to nothing of what happened but I also know it is too late to shut the gate after the cows have gotten out. Mooooooo
