Apparently about two dozen players broke curfew after being counted at 10:30 and went to the bar. All of these players broke teams rules and will be subject to punishment. I doubt that Les lets any of them act as team captains this year. The big question is how many were involved in the brawl and how many will be charged with assault and battery. And if any of them will be charged with a felony.
As it should be. The military works in similar ways, punishment is dished out as a whole all through the training phases... This not only brings the entire group together (or in this case football players), but it develops leadership and accountability within the group... Hopefully once they get sick of being punished, players will start policing themselves and not let team violations occur.
Anyone who hates Miles for doing what he feels is appropriate in this, really has their priorities screwed up.
He at least lied to his father about it, not sure why he would try and deny it... everyone knows who he is.
Wait, are the players in the video the ones who were at the bar, or are they members of the Unity Council?
His FB page is no longer active, but he left it up WAY too long yesterday, and didn't even have it private. He didn't have anything that would implicate anybody in this event...just enough info about himself to assume he ain't some good samaritan hero with a distinguished record of honor and service. :yelwink2:
I agree, let the players play. News keeps trying to tarnish the luster of the LSU-Oregon game. But the match-up shines too bright. It's gonna be a barn burner in Arlington and there's no hiding it.
