Not knowing the whole truth, I could be inclined to disagree with you...or completely agree with you. But I guarantee you this... None of us knows the whole truth. All that bullchit basically making it sound the players got together and went on a rampage against innocent pickup horn honkers and highly decorated Marine heros is just that...bullchit. To assume the players were actually out witnessing for the Lord and stumbled upon this unfortunate situation is also not true. Depending on where in the middle of those two situations the truth lies, I agree with you. If these weren't LSU football players, this wouldn't have made the news.
In addition, this is the first time in the history of the LSU football program that players have violated curfew.
He is a senior, he has not done very much in 3 years and he knows it. It is two weeks before a huge game in which he is expected to be a leader. The simple fact he is in a bar and anywhere close to trouble shows "wrongdoing". Too many on this forum have no clue what leadership and setting the right example is all about.
I understand and respect your position. I would counter with the fact that he certainly wasn't alone. Hell if he had his offense with him it might have been a team "building" session. As I've said elsewhere, this isn't the first time LSU players have busted a curfew, nor will it be the last. I'll cut them a little slack with the fact that there was no football activities scheduled for Friday. It was an off day. And like all others who have gotten caught busting a curfew I suspect they are becoming quite familiar with the Tiger Stadium football steps.
What if they beat the s**t out of you? Would that still not be a big deal? And, at what age nowadays is a kid not a kid?
I agree. Back in the day I remember the rodeo team at McNeese routinely kicking the football players azzes. I don't remember one ever getting suspended. What's the latest anyway. I was asked at coffee if Jefferson was going to play and said he's our starter, no question. I was then told, "You must not have heard." Was JJ involved or a by-stander?
