Take off the homer glasses folks. 2 weeks away from a HUGE game and he pulls this shhit? Need to wait for details but he shouldn't be in a bar at 2am two weeks away from such an important game and season.
Funny how no one's rushing to defend him... If there was any wrongdoing on Jefferson's part, I expect Miles will do the right thing.
That's why you keep your ass out of bars at 2am, especially when you're supposed to be a team leader.
Because its only a rumor. No one knows the story. No one was arrested. Speculation is useless until we know more. Maybe it was George Jefferson.
That was a dig at Oregon guy in that instead of all of us making excuses for JJ, we're expecting Miles to take him to task if he did something wrong.
Its a lot easier to prove that someone was in a bar fight last night than it is to prove a person smoked bud two months ago.
I don't disagree with that at all. In fact, I kind of wish that football players were not allowed to go to bars at all while they're on scholarship. However, my point was that it's a terribly difficult situation of which to sort out the details. Just because JJ may have gotten in the middle of it doesn't mean that he instigated it. On the other hand, maybe he did instigate it. Who knows? If 50 people were involved, you'll get 50 different stories.
Quotes from the police kind of move it past rumor stage. Anyway, at that age and with a day off after a scrimmage it's hard to realistically fault him for being out that late, but lack of judgement is fair game. Twitter: Rosetta tweets in reverse chronolgical order: The BRPD spokesman also said that there was not a vehicular assault involved as has been rumored. #LSU Stone said four people were taken for medical care after the fight was broken up, but Jefferson was not among them. #LSU ...the ongoing investigation has not revealed yet whether #LSU's senior signal-caller is a suspect or a victim. Sgt. Don Stone of the Baton Rouge Police Department media relations office confirmed the #LSU QB's involvement, but said... QB Jordan Jefferson has been “implicated as being involved” in a violent night of activity Thursday at Shady’s Bar right off campus.
