Got to wonder if LSU simply screwed the pooch never offering Cameron Sims, allowing Bama an easy get for Cam Robinson. Robinson was right up there with Fournette for must gets and yet we never stood a chance, and that's simply head scratching. I'm not one to buy into the package deal stuff, but this certainly was a package deal situation.
Studs main problem was coaching, in the time Studs was here, he had two guys drafted into the NFL. Barksdale(3rd round 2011) and Big Herm (5th in 2009). Not good.
Remember Big Herm was destined to be a 1st rounder. This is the main problem I have with Les Miles. His loyalty clouds his judgement and hurts our team. Nice isn't always best.
You gotta admire a guy who gives the guys a chance to make it right, if they don't, he pulls the plug.
A little tidbit about Cam Robinson -- He was a Ouachita kid for years. Went to school with Cameron Sims. Then, a month before school started their Junior year (August 2012) which was right before their fall camp started, Robinson transferred to West Monroe. It was fishy but somehow it was ok'ed by LHSAA and Robinson had no eligibility issues. (I'll admit I don't know anything about transfer/eligibility rules.) For those of you who aren't sure who these two schools are - they are 5A cross-town rivals. Ouachita and Neville are in Monroe. West Monroe is across the river with West Ouachita. Ouachita,Neville and WM used to be in the old powerhouse District 2-5A with Ruston and Bastrop back in the late 80's and 90's.
