I haven't been this optimistic going into a season since 07 when I picked the Tigers 11-1 and title contenders. I like what I hear about the team (we're young, next year could be better). I don't see or hear as much as most on here, but I just have a good feeling and I'm going with it. Could be the new coaches. I like most of the young players.

As much as we are hearing a lot of typical great news out of camp, I agree with you. For some reason it just seems more optimistic this time. I am really looking forward to this season. It could be just wishful thinking, but I think we are in for a few surprises.:LSU231: :geaux: :lsup: :geauxtige

LSU strength coach Tommy Moffitt says no one on LSU's team can run with Shepard. Even the very confident Patrick Peterson agrees and calls Shepard the team's most talented player.

"Russell Shepard hands down," said Peterson, who will not mind telling you that he is the best cornerback in the nation. "I mean that guy is so dynamic. Russell's just so fast and swift with the ball. I mean he knows where the end zone is, and I believe he will visit that a lot this year."

Evan Washington is getting looks at both OT and OG now.

Staff seems very impressed with him and many of the players have been saying the same.

A big boy with only 16% body fat. OL usually average around 22-26%.:shock:

I'm just thinking of what the Peterson/Jones match up will be like. TT is not weak and he got manhandled. Shepard does look stronger - he stood Eugene up pretty well. And Kendrick Adams is...BIG.
