I remember clearly when they pulled the "Hold That Tiger" bit after scores because everyone was cheering "@$$hole, @$$hole" after the "ha,ha,ha,ha,ha" chant. I was much younger then, and I was very disappointed that they pulled that song - not just 'cause I liked the "ha,ha" part, but because "Hold That Tiger" is such a great LSU traditional tune.

I still don't think they should've pulled it. The students can turn anything into a vulgar chant if they want to. Better to power through it, I think. Appeal to them to police themselves.

Yes, many of them will continue. But most will get it, and not put LSU in a bad light. And eventually, they'll find something else funny, and do that.

I have faith that most of them know where the line is and will go back to the correct side if given a chance.

Bring both songs back and LEAD the students to doing the right thing!!

Wait, we're talking about the "intelligensia" here....never mind about the leading part...

it's tough to make that one dirty, but congrats to the LSU student body, they pulled it off. They must be so proud.

I'm hacked because they took a great tradition and dragged it in the mud. Our country's future on display.

Seems like it'd be so easy to stop. Make announcements it needs to stop and that violators will have student tickets pulled. Plant a few undercover narcs in the crowd and, if students are "Cursing", escort them out. After a couple are seen being escorted out they'll stop.......or revolt- bring tasers, could get great youtube material.

Seriously, it's a shame the rest of the ticket holders outside the student section will be penalized as well. I've always been proud of what our student section does to opposing teams when they're on that end of the field and their reputation for bringing the noise but they should realize it's not worth the cost. Their actions could deprive us of the band and our band adds too much to the game- before and after.

I saw the video; I don't see what the problem is.

I didn't even hear any sort of words being said, much less profane.

Can I have a PM too? I'm just trying to figure out how "oo wee oo" can be turned into something dirty. It boggles the mind.

Isn't the tune for this actually just a drum-line with some low horns in between the T - I - G - E - R - S and the TIGERS! after the extra point? The oh-ee-oh part I believe is new since I graduated in - ahem - 88. Can you call that "new"?
