Jefferson only behind Baker and Johnson. Prater, Duplessis and Molton also rated very high. Clair will love this list. Emginger breaks his recruits down to 3 categories. The first appears to be his top 250 list, of which he rated LSU having 14 of its 26 recruits in this list (plus Benton, so 15 highly touted recruits). Eight more fell into the next classification, and four (St. Julien, Taylor, Hagans, Hurst) fell into the last tier (although barely, this is probably close to being what Rivals would consider 3 star players).
The more I learn about our class and our needs points out how strong our class is. It looks like we reloaded again. Next year might just be another great Championship run.
I think the Tigers can make another run in '08 but, other than PJ, I don't think any player in this class would make a meaningful contribution.
:geaux::crystal::helmet: Probably true, but don't count out D. Benton or R. Baker. Those two may contribute in addition to PJ. But fortunately most won't have to with what we have returning, in addition to the 17 or so players that redshirted from last years class. All in all, this class is strong. Stronger than many may think and will go a long way towards keeping LSU a power for years to come. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
I think Baker and/or Theriot will see significant PT at the LB position. Benton should be on the field as well and may emerge as our 3rd or 4th WR option by season's end. I think the rest will be redshirted.
Appreciate the ranking but isnt this the same goof who had the gumps class ranked in the top 5 last year?
