I have to wonder how much publicity Iowa would be getting if they hadn't gotten that hail-mary against LSU. To be honest, that game was so exciting that it probably has increased publicity for both LSU & Iowa. My dream would be an LSU vs USC match up or a LSU vs Iowa matchup because both of those could generate some serious press for obvious reasons.

Let's not forget that alot of people have been eyeing this year for the Tigers for a while now. With all the talent Saban had been reeling in this was supposed to be our year all along.

Dodd was an idiot when he never picked Iowa for anything over the past three years... and all of a sudden he's a genius for picking us 2nd... don't think so!!

This is too high... we'll have a very good team, but with a long row to hoe to reach that status.

A few more predictions like this and Dodd could get a top job at Sports Illustrated. We prefer to fly under the radar, too.

I really wish Louisville would stop getting so much damn press. I think they are a good team but so far from great.

I agree about Iowa, Tennessee & Louisville being overrated.

    My rankings:
    1. USC (Hey, who else, but without Chow they won't win it all)
    2. LSU (Man, there isn't anybody even close to the talent in these two teams)
Bush finds out who is #1 without getting his rose garden plowed (or CHOWed).
    The rest of the bunch.
    3. Ohio State (loaded to the gills)
    4. Oklahoma/Texas tie (toss up this year, Brown is simply a loser against OU)
    6. Tennessee/Florida tie (toss up this year in the East)
    8. Iowa/Michigan tie (Second fiddle to OSU)
    10. Miami/FSU/Arizona State (Air attack ASU visits Death Valley humidity)

Well, wingman, we won't have to wait too long into the season to see if you're right.

September 10, 2005: LSU vs. Arizona State, Texas vs. OhioState

September 24, 2005: LSU vs. Tennessee, Iowa vs. Ohio State

Someone's gonna have a chilly September.
    1) Both you & OSU are at home those games, that helps.
    2) ASU, Tenn & Iowa may be more "established" at QB for games that early in the season. We think OSU is loaded... and they're in the Horseshoe, which has always been tough for us. We'll be counting on Tate... one more time.

I don't know about all that. B. Brohm is not a drop off at all.

If he would be, he wouldn't have seen PT last year. (Still can't believe he got inserted into that Miami game).

Who they will really miss is that stud WR JR Russell.

Ditto's... having watched B. Brohm throughout his HS career and then his development this past year imo he is the real deal...I suspect their defense will have some catching up to do as they move into the (formerly) Big East

Plus they are getting that "Big Least" bump like West Virginia did.

They were made a preseason top 8 just because of the perception (and rightfully so) of being the best team in a weak conference last year.

At least Louisville did something last year.

    One error:

USC does not have back-to-back titles. LSU won in 2003.
