It's good, but ultimately, polls don't matter anymore....win the SEC with fewer than 2 losses, get into the CFP....if you don't, you are at the mercy of the committee

The poet is overdue for saying he told you so.

The AP, pffft. Let the coaches speak. Figure we are not far off. Top ten for our defense alone. Left guard makes us human. Burrow and the receivers will have to make up for that

Gotta at least give him a check minus for effort.

This is the first year I can recall the top ten in the AP and Coaches poll being alike. If I'm not mistaken, the only differences between the two polls is the AP has Nebraska in while the Coaches have Northwestern. Also, if you look over the top 25, you'll see very little difference in how they rank 11-25. At the most you'll find a two spot differential. As example, Iowa State is the largest disparity: 21 in one poll, 24 in the other.

On another note take a look at the top ten and the number of SEC or former SEC quarterbacks leading those teams. I came across this yesterday:

Of the top 8 teams in the AP Poll, 7 of them have a starting QB who plays/played in the SEC

    2. Alabama, Tua Tagovailoa
    3. Georgia, Jake Fromm
    4. Oklahoma, Jalen Hurts
    5. Ohio State, Justin Fields
    6. LSU, Joe Burrow
    7. Michigan, Shea Patterson
    8. Florida, Feleipe Franks

#1’s (Clemson) former starter is starting at Mizzou

#2’s (Alabama) former starter is starting at #4 (Oklahoma)

#3 (Georgia) has a former starter at #13 (Washington) & their former back up is starting at #5 (Ohio State)

#6’s (LSU) starter played at #5 (Ohio State)

#7’s (Michigan) starter was previously the starter at Ole Miss.

LSU has 3 opponents ranked in the top 10 (Bama, Florida, Texas). Alabama only has 1 (LSU).

LSU’s permanent East opponent is ranked #8, whereas Bama’s is unranked.

Move along, nothing to see here. The SEC cash cow must be protected at all cost.

    Good Stuff ...
Was waiting to see AP match the Coaches!

more ... The National Champs have all come from Top 7 preseason polls in recent history ... We’re in that number!

Oklahoma and Ohio State have no business being ranked above LSU ...

GEORGIA has no business being ranked above LSU ... Courtesy of a 36-16 beat down last year ... Wanna know content of Fromm’s nightmares

    LSU deserves Number 3 ...
Week 6 we get Number 3 ... Mark it!

LSU IS #4 in the POWER RATINGS that books use to make the lines ...

LSU is being underestimated by Vegas early
    LATHER RINSE REPEAT 2018 ...

LSU -27 now vs Ga Southern (was -30)
LSU -3 vs Texas (was -8)

LSU will rout GSU by 40+
LSU will rout TX by 20+

Then O will give the Demons a pass and not cover the spread which should be about 38
