Was just checking out some old threads around the time of our last SEC Championship and found this one. I think it was right after we lost to Ole Miss. It was when everyone was doubting Saban the most and his ability to coach in the SEC. Tigerman's post was the reason I brought this back to view. He was right on the money with everything. Georgia must have really helped us out back then to get to the SEC Championship. I have since learned that the Saints will never be in the Super Bowl.

I have read the posts here and this is the reason I was upset
    with the offense this year.

They were just good enough to get bye.

Some people here were unhappy with me but look at Florida
under Spurrier, they came to play every week, and they were
good and put teams away, they dominated on both sides of the
    ball.

They won a NC, and if my memory serves me right they didn't lose
very often in 10 or 12 years, or however many.

To beat a winning program and a winning top 10 football team
CONSISTANTLY, you have to be able to dominate for 60 MINUTES on OFFENSE and DEFENSE.

If you have a great Defense and your offense is ok, sooner or
later your D will get tired and give up BIG plays.

The only BIG game I thought the offense played good and consistantly was the Arkansas game.

In the Auburn and Alabama games, they had the ball more than
we did in the 4th quarter.

A lot of fans here were happy with a WIN, I'm happy with the
    win but you know what?

There's tougher games ahead and the offense needs to dominate
as well as the Defense does to win.

That way there is NO dispute to who is #2.

Also LSU has to overcome there reputation of losing to winners,
and beating losers, then there's those losing to losers.
    LIKE UAB.

Think God for Nick Saban, I'm sure he can get the job done......

If the offense has trouble Saturday, it gives David Greene a better
shot at beating us more and more.

Georgia did help us the first time.
There Kicker missed 2 or 3 kicks, I don't think it'll happen again.

    Quote by TigerHou,

The coaching performance last night, and for that matter all year, has been pathetic. Offensive and defensive calls have been atroious. The players consistently come out flat. Adjustments are not being made on a timely basis. Most disturbing of all was Saban not taking responsibility for the 3 running play series before the half last night that resulted in a blocked punt and the resulting TD for Ole Miss. Sorry Ole Miss fans, you did not win that game, LSU gave it to you on a gold platter.

I have no idea what your talking about here.................

but Nick is the best coach we've had in a long time making
    adjustments in ball games.
Look at what the Arkansas offense did in the 1st vs rest of
    game.

    Dinardo was the worst...........

    I will say this:
Our offense is suspect, I think our playcalling is too predictable also.

Sometimes I think that trying to have a balanced offense has
    hurt us.

I think we should've tried to run the ball down Florida's throat,
they gave up quite a bit on the ground this year.

Well even though we may get snubbed from playing for a NC, at least we are talking about getting snubbed from a NC. That is a whole lot better than talking about if Saban is the answer or not. BTW he is.
