I may be wrong on this, but doesnt every SEC team have to play at least 1 game on JP Sports or Lincoln financial?
We had this discussion during the game and I will see what y'all think since it is relevant to the title. What if Tulane, New Orleans and the State were to combine forces and bring Tulane Football & TAILGATING to City Park, by doing some work to Tad Gormley I believe this would benefit everyone involved. By playing in the dome you lose certain aspects that make up college football. I think attendence would triple as would other teams fans making the trip at the aspect of being able to tailgate Louisiana style. I know there are working on some HUGE plans to bring City Park back to life and alot of money is being put into it, I really feel everyone involved should consider it.
I disagree with the poster who started this thread. One reason is that it is a unique situation for LSU to play in New Orleans or the superdome. What is LSU's record in the Superdome since the new millenium? I don't know how many wins but I know we have yet to lose one game there! We will win the National Championship game there this year versus USC, that I do know.
It is a GOOD first half EXPERIENCE for the Tigers! Helps to remind them to stay focussed and not play ugly! This is "somewhat" reminiscent of the lost in 2003 to Florida (?) in the sense that after that game, the team was determined NOT to have any more losses, and then , the rest is history.
Those 66-0 predictions certainly didn't come to pass; at least LSU survived. Most top 15 teams are dropping like flies; looks like USC and Florida are next.
LSU has to play at least once on LF per SEC contract. Not quite sure of the exact rules, but LSU can be forced to play at 11:00 a.m. So yes, LSU will have at least one other 11:00 a.m. game this year.
I'd guess the Auburn vs LSU game. Bama-Tenn is probably going to get the CBS slot and KY-FL would get the ESPN Saturday night time slot that week.
