Hawthorne: "Regular season ends today....and it's been a long year." Understatement or what??! But, in typical LSU fashion, here we are, last game of the season, and dispite all of our flaws and disappointments throughout the year, and all the loses to Centenary and Southern, our Tigers are playing for the West Division and possibly an SEC title. Nice try by Hebert on obviously a very difficult attempt on a bloop hit.
State is playing with more fire this series... I'd rather lose friday and win Sat and Sun like we used to do...
They've (State) have answered us every game so far this series, and they're trying to do it again today.
It was. After viewing the replay, I retract all previous negativity aimed toward him. On another note, that was a nice double play that the ump missed...
Slow roller. Hebert to 2nd for the force, batter beat out the throw to 1st. Runner on 3rd scores. Tied up 1-1.
Smith is battling... They haven't really hit him hard this inning....but those last two (bloop over Hebert and the slow roller) just get in play but aren't hit hard enough for our defense to make a good play on... :dis:
