And I am sure he felt like shit when he muffed that punt that allowed Furman to get their 14th, 15th, and 16th points of the game.
Funny how when LSU wins it's because of Miles, but when LSU loses, "he himself didn't throw that pick 6" Miles gets credit for the trick plays, but using your reasoning...he, himself didn't convert the play, he just called it.
Guess miles was just sitting on sidelines eating nachos? He gets credit for getting the team on track in half 2. He gets complaints for a flat half 1 and not getting backup more playing time. And another uninspired performance by D.
We need defense to play 2 2nd halves for the rest of the season. If they play like they did in the 1st half last night and against Ole Miss, we're screwed.
Pay better attention. When LSU wins, its always because the players excelled. When LSU loses it is because of Les.
Something that hasn't been mentioned (at least I don't think so) is the fact LSU has played 9 consecutive weeks, one of only a few teams that have done so w/o a bye week. Shoot, most NFL teams have had bye weeks in a shorter time. I believe we have to consider that these are college kids we're talking about, and they need a break from the grind. Thus, in looking at the so-called motivational issues of the last couple of games, perhaps it's more fatigue than lack of motivation. Just my two cents...
This is true, of course. However, the reverse is also true. We play up to the level of our competition, as well--almost without fail. Therefore, the folks predicting we'll be skull-dragged by Bama are probably wrong. Will we win? I don't know. Will we compete? I'm almost certain we will. Is Nick Saban a nervous son of a bitch this morning because LSU looms? Yep.
