This has me pretty excited, can't wait to try it. I'm sure it will have a good taste! Geaux Tigers

'Drink some of the Tiger' is perfect.

Bayou Bengal may not work, as the Tin Roof company already has a VooDoo Bengal on the market.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the name shouldn't be so LSU specific that it loses national appeal. (If they actually care about that)

    Are they planning national distribution?

I'm actually amazed that LSU is signing off on this. Remember it was only several years ago that we made a concerted effort to get OFF the Princeton Review's list of top party schools. Having a beer endorsed & even marketed by the University can't be good for the academic side of the fence, and in the end, isn't that really the core purpose of LSU?

Did you attend LSU? I don't know about the administration but my core purpose was to drink some good ol' southern beer...of course that's most likely why I don't have an LSU diploma on my wall, haha.

I have no clue. I imagine they will only distribute it locally, at first.

I'm afraid something like this won't have national appeal if they have any plans in the future for national distribution.

F'ing awesome. And solves my dilemma of what beer to drink when i hit BR.

Re slogan, maybe they steal the old Esso 'get a Tiger in your tank'.

you would be surprised. after looking and looking, there is a place i can find tiger sauce here.

and if their production capacity is not great enough, they may not want to go national anyway.

or, they can name it something more overall louisiana-like such as "bayou brew".
