They aren't auctioning them off, they have AUTHENTIC No. 1 Jerseys (read: stiched on numbers, logos, and patches) in the book store (as well as replicas in women's sizes.) Portions of sales go to rebuilding athletic programs under Katrina effect. I thought it was just a promotional thing, I saw them in the book store last week. It's not horrible, should get us some pub. I just would rather have seen a white version.
If it generates some money and goes to a good place, fine by me. Just don't mess with our normal uniforms. Let'em be.
If LSU is the away team don't we get to choose which color jersey we wear? I like LSU's traditional unis but we could take the field in pink tutus and if we came away with a win I really wouldn't care. That is as long as we don't go all Oregon and have 16 different jerseys.
