Yeah USC beating Notre Dame looks to be a huge component to LSU's chances. I don't see Louisville or WVU losing. Florida could easily lose to Arkansas, especially after LSU beats Arkansas today (wink, wink). So a USC loss would allow WVU to sneak up to #4 in the BCS, not to mention an automatic bid for ND, and we are toast (unless Boise State loses, which could happen).
Boise beating Nevada on the road is not a given. Nevada is 8-3 and score a ton of points in the WAC. After we beat the piggies today, I'll be a Nevada fan tomorrow.
Yeah, for some reason I just feel Boise State will blow it and lose. That would almost guarantee LSU a BCS berth (Michigan, Notre Dame, WVU, LSU).
Nobody probably caught this, but the Boston College loss last night was not a good thing. California, who is currently #18 in the BCS, just moved up a spot (now #17). It's still a long shot for Cal to finish in the top 14, but if USC should win out and Cal finish in the top 14, the Rose Bowl would pick Cal to play Michigan, believe it or not. Rutgers is likely to follow, losing to WVU. That puts Cal at #16. OU and Texas need to win on Saturday. Texas also needs to go on and win the Big 12 CG. Virginia Tech needs to beat Virginia as well. Georgia Tech needs to beat Georgia and then win the ACC CG. If all that happens, then Cal should not be able to get any higher than #15. Tennessee, who is one spot behind Cal in the BCS, also needs to win and I think they would get just enough of a boost in the computer polls to pass Cal (UT plays a 7-4 Kentucky while Cal plays a 1-10 Stanford). That would be nice. Cal getting that BCS berth would almost destroy LSU's chances. Cal needs 4 of the following teams to lose: Tennessee OU Texas (2 games remaining potentially) Rutgers Georgia Tech (2 games remaining) Virginia Tech
