Pellini will want to finish the season as LSU's DC, so his playcalling will improve to show less zone & soft coverage and more pressure and blitz packages. He's under the gun and he knows it. He can afford to send Cam Vaughn and others in after Ainge on every passing down. There's no reason LSU can't put Ainge on his can 5 times like Florida did, and everyone KNOWS IT. Also, this UT O-line is hurting, huge advantage LSU. NO REASON EXISTS to prevent serious LSU defensive pressure from mauling an inept UT offense THAT HASN'T SCORED A SINGLE POINT IN THE SECOND HALF THIS SEASON. IF an inept & injured UT offense looks good this week against LSU, Pellini will become a more hated coach than John Brady & it's a sign that his schemes are truly crap & won't work. Tennessee should only score 10 points in this game on offense at most, and a shutout of Tennessee's offense would go a long way to silence Pellini detractors. Florida scored 16 with an offense nowhere near as good as LSU's. LSU should be able to manage 300-400 yards total offense and at least 14-21 points scoring on their own. Add the Special Teams contributions of 7 points in LSU's favor. Special Teams will win the battle of field position for LSU all night long. LSU 28, UT 10
LSU beats the spread, adversity, and more importantly, the Vols.... Monday or not, it's a night game in our house and the fans/team have long been ready for this. LSU - 41 TN - 10 Krispy Kreme - Out of Stock due to hurricane Phil.
LSU! 28 Vols 17 This is the one we've all been waiting for. I believe this game will set the tempo for the rest of our season. Geaux Tigers
The LSU offense will make steady progress. It will be balanced and unpredictable and will gain a lot of yardage. First-game jitters will behind them and there will be fewer dropped passes and foolish penalties. But the Tennessee defense is very good. Russell, Addai, Doucet, and Green willhave to shine and the offensive line must dominate. The LSU defense will make tremendous progress. Although the new defense is still uncomfortable to them, it will be much less so. There is a lot of talent on this defense, both coaches and players, and they will have learned a lot from the ASU game. They will also not be facing a Tennessee quarterback as good as Keller. LSU - 31 Tennesseee - 17
LSU 35 UT 10 Receivers decide to catch the ball and Jamarcus throws for 400+ on wet field with wet ball. Phat Phil thanks Rita the the field is wet so he don't give up 500+ in the air. Oh yeah, our D has more receptions than the UT receivers. :thumb:
LSU! 28 UT 17 I believe that LSU will come out motivated and the crowd will be behind them. This will be a close game until the 4th quarter. LSU's determination to win will be the outcome.
