the only REAL talent on the team is Davis. Tas is a good college player and is well-rounded, but he can create nothing---and in the end, regardless of how well you play D or hustle or rebound, the ball still has to be put in the goal. mason, martin and temple are one-dimensional (temple the best), but i still have hope that the team learns to use martins skills better. Lazare is a fair college player and has great value, all good college teams need several players like him. he'll contribute a bit more as sec play continues but he is typically out matched by talent in the sec. his #s at the beginning of the year were an anomaly.

brady can, has, and should play more uptempo style.

Outside of Florida, who has more than one REAL talent on their team? LSU has just as much talent as the other 10 SEC schools.

Uptempo goes against Brady's philosophy. He's a defensive coach who likes halfcourt offense. It doesn't mean he can't, it means he doesn't want to unless he feels he has no other choice. I've heard nothing from him that would suggest he is going to change his style of play this year.

depends how you work the #s, but surprisingly, this season is the second best eFG% for lsu in the last 4 seasons.

bama definately has more talent. not even close. ark probably has more. uga might--have to wait and see on them and other sec teams that i havent seen play. this is just my analysis based on "talent" meaning basically athleticism. if "talent" includes skill, then lsu is below average then.

btw, i dont necessarily think lsu has less "talent" than many sec teams. they just dont have some great advantage that many seem to think they do.

i dont think cjb will change to uptempo either. i just think he should.

    WOW! Someone listened...

I hate to say I told you so... :hihi: And, I called it after the Arky game.

But, heck, LSU is starting to play. Likin' the offense, pressing... win or lose, there's some hope here.
