    Pretty much... since the SEC tournament in 2001, we haven't won any tournaments since.

    LSU hasn't scored in the last 4 minutes...

    On the other hand, we usually trade wins with TN, so if we have to play them in the NCAA tournament, we have a good chance.

    I thought we had a chance this time. My mom didn't ask me what time or channel this game was coming on. Most of the time when she asks me that you can go ahead and put an L on the schedule for ladies. :lol:

    Yes and no... basketball isn't quite as clear-cut as they award championships to both the regular season and the tournament. Most of the time, the regular season and tournament champions are different. It's tough to win 3 or 4 (depending on seeding) games in the same number of days.

    Which one is more important? I don't have the answer there.

    Either way, LSU still claims an SEC championship this season.

    I agree. I think if Tennessee did not win they would have been very disappointed and still found a way to name Candace Parker SEC player of the year. Did you notice at the end of the game they named Candace Parker SEC Tournament player of the year. What a joke. Both players are great. Fowles and LSU went undefeated in SEC regular season play, so she deserved POY honors. Parker and Tennessee won the tourney, so she deserves MVP of the yourney. The announcers were horrible.

    As BB11 said, this team doesn't seem to play well in close big games down the stretch.

    This was a really bad loss. A win by LSU and I think we go into the tourney knowing we can win it all. Now, it's same story, different year, unfortunately.

    9 seniors. That's a helluva season and talent to go to waste.

    Let's hope it turns out different. Finally.

    LSU has lost it's 4th straight SEC tourney....and all of them the exact same way.

    Close game at the end and LSU can't hit free throws or take good shots. SF drops a pass, and that 3point attempt at the end was just pathetic.

    I hope the new coach gets some girls in here that can shoot. I just hope this year's final four isn't the same again....one and done.

    LSU = SEC Champions

    The only reason the tournament champion is really recognized is because that is how they determined it years ago. It really is an insignificant title these days when compared to the SEC Championship, which LSU won.

    I love LSU & those girls have a awesome 4 year record but - They played like crap again in a championship game... Missed fowl shots 4 times down the stretch that would/could have won the game for us... Having only two shooters on this team is bad. Pokey & Van had a total of 4 years to get another shooter & never did.. Tenn outplayed us & deserved to win.

    What was ticking me off was that they were clearly naming Candace Parker the number one draft pick for the WNBA, based on her points per game. Well, she had something to the effect of 2.5-3 points more per game than Big Syl. If you look at the stats, Big Syl had the better stats in the other categories they presented.
