    yes i do know that it doesnt just determine height of the pitch, but that is one of the main things it determines. Watching him pitch, however, it seems to be something other than a release point problem.

    could be one of 1000 things in his mechanics. All pitchers go through this. to give up on a proven pitcher, much less lane makes zero sense.

    the biggest problem with naming a new starter is you'd have to mix up the rotation to know whether determan could start or not. Determan, the likely candidate would have to start on sundays.

    If needed fri or sat from the pen, then he could only be used sparingly at best. If not needed, he could start. He could start after short relief on friday as well if not in taxing situations. (Its not the number of pitches thrown that truly matter.)

    There was a jackass with a bass drum at the games. There weren't enough Vandy fans to make noise.

    Hey Tirk, I was watching the Braves/Astro's game a couple of weeks back. They said when Clemons was going through a slump with the Yankees, they finally determined that it was due to his glove hand being in the wrong place and after they fixed that he went on a roll. You're right about the fact that it could be a 1000 different things.
