Time for the "Toot Toot" report. 1. Russell showed a strong finish, but was 40% at one point. 21/32 for 286 yards (66%), 2 tds and 1 pick. Will he give the Florida defense trouble next week. Vandy had 15 series in this game and went 3 or 4 and out 9 TIMES!!! Vandy's longest scoring drive went 5 yards! It's safe to say that Pellini gets a break until the next big game. LSU's pressure and coverage was notably great, even though detractors could fault a miserable Vandy O-line as "not much of a challenge". Still, the LSU D looked like the defense of old, dominating as they need to be. The weekly picks ... #11 LSU 31, Vandy 14 .............. 34-6 covered, defense exceeded all expectations ...
