1. Russell showed a strong finish, but was 40% at one point. 21/32 for 286 yards (66%), 2 tds and 1 pick. Will he give the Florida defense trouble next week. I say yeah, IF he can avoid a disasterous start. That's a Big IF!!!

2. Vandy didn't pass 50 times against LSU ONLY BECAUSE THEY HAD 59 Total plays. Vandy had 15 series in this game and went 3 or 4 and out 9 TIMES!!!

Vandy's longest scoring drive went 5 yards!

It's safe to say that Pellini gets a break until the next big game. LSU's pressure and coverage was notably great, even though detractors could fault a miserable Vandy O-line as "not much of a challenge". Still, the LSU D looked like the defense of old, dominating as they need to be.

Notable: An injured Connor did not get much play! Norwood ran 13 times for for 111 against Fla. Miles will no doubt pick up on that. Reading the MSU barometer and seeing some great LSU defensive play, you gotta be positive about the Florida game. It will be a tough 60-minute game with the winner the team making the fewest mistakes. LSU cannot fumble 4 times in the first half and win against FLA.
