    Ok, Smitty gets out of the first inning alive. 3 straight hitters cream the ball against her. The first person gets a hit then the next 2 hit it right at people, with the 2nd one turning into an easy double play.

    I have no idea why she is so hittable in the first inning, but after that it's lights out. I have a great feeling we will be seeing LSU in the title game now that this crucial top of the first inning is over with.

    No score bottom of the 2nd.

    LSU gets a runner thrown out at the plate in the first. I would normally be unhappy with getting a runner thrown out with only 1 out, but I think you have to take your chance, since you have so few chances to score in these games.

    is game 2 on tv in louisiana?

    and how can schmidt pitch so much, i barely stay awake for that many games in such a short time.

    The #9 hitter gets a double to drive in the run.

    Unfortunately Schmidt walked a sub .200 hitter to start the inning.

    Strikes out the next hitter.

    Wow...we're looking at destiny here people.

    Hopefully she breezes past the next 2 innings before the big hitters show up again in the 6th. That looks to be the cruicial inning.
