1. Here are some stats for you boys running around grabbing your pussies and screaming.

Just picking but seriously, it's not so bad.

We ran 41 plays. 27 rushes 14 pass attempts.

Iowa had 15 rushing plays with 16 pass attempts. Their QB was 7-16 and ours was 6-14.
Both had 2 sacks and only 2 net yards separated them through the air. 55/57

I understand Iowa's defense ain't Bama's but "what the game gives you" has a lot to do with what plays are called too. Sometimes people overlook that. We may have gone for the 4th and short had the score not been 14-0, for one example. Also likely why we're a bit run-heavy, along with the fact that it's our QB's first start.

So settle down and go enjoy the second half cause it's going to be months before we get to watch our Tigers play again and the last time we get to see some.
  2. No love for the Defense who is playing spectacular? Tre White, Robinson?

  3. Last year Northwestern beat Iowa by running the ball 49 times for 349 yds. at 7.1 ypc. Only had 84 yds in receptions.

    Study the film.

  4. And it's a SACK....
  5. And how about Miles taking TO's when Iowa had the ball with the first half winding down?!?!?! I was stoked he wasn't playing to take it to half.
  6. Ugh, blown coverage.
  7. I think Iowa had only allowed a total of 12 sacks coming in to this game so having 3 already this game is fantastic - let's get a few more!!
