1. first cancellation of an LSU game in 97 years......
  2. Look at the bright side. This has to be some kind of record, a 53 page non-game game thread!
  3. I think there's a 'Conference Games are Us' open on Bluebonnet.
  4. Tirk was a freshman I believe.
  5. This is the stat that we must remember. We don't let ANYTHING stop us from playing football. Maybe we have to reschedule, maybe the team gets 1 day less rest, but we always play the game. Pathetic.
  6. I simply cannot understand why there could not be a game at midnight. Players and coaches...Take tomorrow off. This game was not being played to see who wins. It was being played for LSU's game with Miss St. This was a wimpy call.
  7. Over the last five or six years, this game is not in the top ten of refund worthy events!
  8. I understand that there was a lot of lightning and the weather front just hung around all night. I wondered how the league came up with the 30 minute rule about lightning and found this.....
lightning safety experts recommend waiting 30 minutes after both the last sound of thunder and last flash of lightning. If lightning is seen without hearing thunder, lightning may be out of range and therefore less likely to be a significant threat.
  9. Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the 54 pages of the thread, but I'm not understanding why they couldn't have made this game up on Sunday or Monday. I mean, McNeese is a Louisiana school. It's not like someone flew in from halfway across the country.
    LSUDieHard likes this.
  10. Moving the 2005 Tennessee game to Monday night was a logistical nightmare I don't think they wanted to repeat.
