We got handed a huge defeat by Purdue. We were favored tonight as well. No way we should have lost to this Ole Miss squad and no way should we had been 1-6 in the league last year. We should not have had to put together an amazing run to make the tournament. Brady will NEVER take us to the promised land. If you want to be stuck in mediocrity, hoping for a 9-7 SEC record than be my guest. I want a consistant top 15 program with Sweet 16, Elite 8, and Final 4 appearances. I want crowds of 10,000+ at all games, no matter the competetion. This will not happen under the leadership of John Brady.

When you don't have any rythum on offense and your struggling
on offense what do you do?

You don't keep running the same offense

You run different types of offenses to figure out how to get easier
    shot attempts.

If you run motion might you get an easier shot and maybe even
    establish some rythum?

Kinda like warmups before a game, get in rythum, next thing you
know maybe you can get in groove and make some shots

Some people are quick to point we have freshman playing with little experience. That is a cope out. We are in game 15. Do you have hear Duke making excuse when they reload? Did Michigan not go the the Championship game with the Fav 5? We have young people with some seasoned leadership on this team - that is no excuse for this offensive drought.

I can't wait til the boxscore comes out.

Did anyone notice how badly our D was against State last week?

boxscore is out. you guys are overanalyzing. we lost because of no guard play. no great surprise. great D. ok, atleast good D. good rebounding.

too many turnovers and no shooters!

i dont think its really brady's fault. these guys missed a ton of open shots. i think we still need to give him some time to accumulate players.

oh, by the way, dont compare this team with duke's or michigan's fab five--just plain stupid.

Glad to see your back, I had a link for you about the zone and gave you credit about being right about penetrating the zone.

    Kudos to you.......

But you are totally wrong about it not being Bradys fault.

I stuck up for Brady all year to TE and others until now.

Its not about 2 losses really, the problem is......

When your offense struggles and your a coach you certainly don't
run the same offense over and over and over.

Brady should have tried at least to fix this after the Alabama game
    and he didn't do it?

Its the coaches job to make adjustments and fix things.......

You take a coach like Nick Saban, he could take any personnel in
football and make adjustments and try to fix things and probably
    succeed.

The coaches job is to have his players ready to play and to fix things when thier not working.

I'm worried because it isn't that hard really to beat a zone.

    btw,
I challenge anyone here to find any team on any level is bad as
this offensively in the history of basketball..........

    Now,

I did research on beating the zone and saw it in a NBA game and
it isn't hard at all and thats what worries me...............

I have to question Brady as a coach offensively, Defensively we
    should be ok.

1 problem is we aren't running the right offense for our personnel.

For instance, inside outside kind of offense......

You have to have shooters from the outside and the Center and
power forward have to be able to see over the defense and make
a pass, like Shaq has in the past......

We don't have this kind of team!!!!!!

Has anyone ever ran a motion offense or something???

When I played basketball we use to practice running a motion offense, you screen and cut, screen and cut.

Its a constant motion from all 5 guys on offense........

This would at least get us easier shots, lets face it with the offense we have now, we need to find a way to get easier shots.

Gumborue - You are just plain stupid if you did not understand what I was saying. My statement did not compare LSU with the Fav 5 and Duke's team. They were merely a few of many examples of how teams succeed with young talent. The college basketball ranks is scattered with teams with young players that succeed. If you would like I can lists a few. My main point is we should not be using young players as an excuse. Today's college environment is not conducive to senior laden teams. When teams have good young talent, they typically leave early to go to the NBA. First we use scholarships as an excuse, now we are using experience as one. What is next?
