Outstanding showing by your De*erman! I didn't figure him to go deep into the game, but whatever may come, he has put your team in solid position with a gutsy performance. Excepting that he's already pitched this weekend, I beg to differ. Rice's postseason history is peppered with performances like this, where coach Graham has gone deep with starters.
Anyone think that Dirks could still start tommorow, if his pitch count stays low and he only goes 2 innings ?
I'm thinking that he gets us out of this jam then Faircloth comes in next inning and Dirks goes tomorrow. Maybe?
