LSU vs Sam Houston State game thread

Gene Chizik on the SEC Network. Really???

 

This team is young, hungry, and not playing around. Going to be dangerous.

 

Who knows better how to get pounded by the SEC than Chizik? I don't think Jim Tressel wanted to give up his job as president of a school to come to ESPN.

 

I obviously like the numbers, but more importantly, I hope the starters on both sides of the ball are gaining some confidence and building some momentum for the tough part of the schedule coming up.

 

Wow, i gotta say it, these are games LSU used to come out and start slow, look make stupid mistakes, play down to competition. And while they have made some stupid mistakes individually, they have really showcased some talent and more importantly finished drives with touchdowns. I know it's Sam Houston State, but we are supposed to do this to teams like this and a lot of the time in the past we wouldn't.

 

Don't take me as a Miles hater, but this is the difference of having a real OC and the idiots we've had in the past before Cam. Cam opens the playbook up a lot quicker than some of those other guys did. A good offense staying on the field makes the defense more pumped up when they get back on the field.

 

Agreed. I think 11 true freshman have already played. Great to get these guys game experience.

 

SEC caliber talent at every position including the kicker ... something Bama doesn't have under Saban right?

 

I was thinking about this -- previous years and slow starts/sluggish games against lesser competition. Nice to see what's happening tonight for a change.

 

Damn Sam Houston State's commercial is wild.
