On the bright side, Stetson's starter was 3-0 with a 1.00 era and we roughed him up pretty good.

I saw in the box score that Pontiff hit a homerun. I thought he was on the team just to honor Wally but its looks like he is a pretty solid ball player and should crack the lineup on a consistent basis in the years to come.

I'm happy for Quinn. This guy has stayed with LSU even when he wasn't starting and he seems to always have a positive attitude. I don't want to bring race in to things but it had to be hard for him as the only black LSU player for a few years. Of course we have mcghee and bogany now, but that's cool that he stuck with LSU. Seriously, I'm not trying to make that an issue, it's just something I always thought about.

On a different topic though... Man! When was the last time you saw an LSU team that could rally like this? Seriously, it seems like that's been our achille's heel the last couple of seasons. I'm not talking about the "big inning," I'm talking about consistency in come-from-behind wins. This team has been showing some EXTREME mettle so early in the season.

Also why we can do this is because we can hit homeruns and turns doubles into triples etc...

Allowing us to be able to run and get base hits

    I really like this change:grin:

The difference between last year's team and this year's is that this team gets the timely hit. When they get runners in scoring position they drive them in. I like it.

I said at the beginning of the year that the pre SEC season would tell us alot about the character of this team. 20-10 in the SEC seems like a real possibility, of course roadtrips to UT, UF won't make it easy.
