Miss St and Auburn imploded and gave us those games. Tennessee didn’t, and railroaded us. That’s the difference
It's called rebuilding. Do we not remember last year when guys were running open and no one was within 30 yards of the receiver? If you thought LSU was just going to run out and dominate every team they played, you don't understand college football in the SEC. We lost to UT, who may be playing the best football of any team in the SEC, or the country, for that matter. Remember this, even the great Saban has suffered some bad losses while he was building his football teams that includes ULM, UAB, Utah and Iowa, along with a 38-point loss to Stanford and 40-point loss to Nebraska. It takes time to build a program and that's just where LSU is right now.
Correct! LSU coaching staff has been "stuck on stupid" for a long time now. At least since CLM, throughout many bad games, who would run the offense up the center, repeatedly & predictably, and to no Defense's surprise. The forward pass was a freakin' revelation! The Brady/Burreaux year was the exception, of course!
Oh I see we were lucky to beat Moo and Auburn. Well Texas and Texas A&M imploded and "gave" Bama those 2 wins.
Was Bama lucky to have beaten Texas? Was Georgia lucky to have beaten Missouri? Your reasoning is extremely flawed. So what now? We are horrible the coaches are horrible and if we beat another SEC team we are simply lucky? Are you ready to fire Kelly and everyone with him? Is The Golden Band from Tigerland not up to YOUR standards too? Should they be disbanded? Geeze!
Fans don't understand that rebuilding a team takes time and patience. We are in great hands and in due time we will be considered one of the elite programs in the nation. The reality is Tennessee is probably playing the best football in the country. I live among Alabama fans and many are already bracing for a loss to the Vols. We just ran into an extremely hot team and they were the better team. Give CBK more than a few months to change the program because it didn't become like this overnight and it's not going to be fixed overnight.
Good luck convincing the Bayou Bengals of the world. If we listened to those type fans LSU would be in a perpetual state of changing coaches every year. Hell if Bayou were a Georgia fan he would have called for Kirbys head in year 2.
We will see if he can hold on to this class that he currently has. I suspect it will begin to deplete quickly. If he does he may not make it to the half way point of this contract as we are going to sink into a very deep hole. I said it before the season started and I will stick to it. You can call it making chicken salad out of chicken shit, you can call it anything you want to, at the end of the day he had better produce. Unfortunately he doesn't have the luxury of saying "I was left with shit" "I don't have a full roster" "Coach O did this" none of that matters. If he doesn't turn this around we are headed to a deep and dark bottom for a very long time. It starts with yanking Daniels ass out of the starting line up and putting in Nuss.
