I think the coaches know they made a mistake and they have no choice but to keep Nuss on the pine. If he goes in a the offense looks like it has a pulse then everyone knows that they shit the bed.

nuss will have to get meaningful game time to keep him out of the portal, but I think it comes after fla (if we lose badly). I don’t think bk puts nuss in at fla unless there’s an injury situation, and not sure he’d play nuss against om, although I could see a scenario where we get nuss 2nd half of om game, again if they played badly at fla and couldn’t get it going against the rebs…

Disagree, he absolutely knows that Daniels is a plug, did you see him yelling at him on the sidelines? You hear the "we gotta coach better" that is code for "this mf'r just can't play". Make no mistake, he knows, he sees it but he also knows he made the wrong choice and its too late now. Look, I'm not saying Nuss would come in and set the world on fire, hell he might come in and suck worse than Daniels does but sonofabitch we have to find out right? I remember a NC game where that other mf'r was in and everyone was SCREAMING put Lee in the game, what is the worse that could happen?

You can call it what you want, you can believe what you want but Brian Kelly absolutely knows Daniels not only isn't the guy, he knows he is never going to be the guy. Why he won't pull the trigger on the switch is up for debate but he knows in his soul he is on a horse that is getting dirt kicked in its face.

FYI JUST found this stat from the Tenn game: Jayden Daniels completed 32 passes against Tennessee, which ties with Joe Burrow for the third-highest single-game total in school history.
I agree he holds the ball too long and seems to shy away from trusting his WR's on long balls but he IS throwing the ball.

Too bad only 1 was a touchdown. But he was 32 of 45 for 300 yards, so that’s not terrible. Eating 5 sacks sucks… and the pick.
