What Rick Jones has done at Tulane is remarkable IMO. They are strong from top to bottom with a great pitching staff. Jones has been creative with his scholarships at a University with high academic standards, he's recruited extremely well, he has the University fully behind him, and he's prospered since Skip's departure from the game. The fact that LSU won 5 NC's doesn't really have much to do with any of that.
If I am not mistaken, many athletes at Tulame are not subject to the high academic standards and entrance requirements. They have a feeder/sister college or something of the sort in place which many athletes utilize. Someone who understands this better please give details. I don't quite know how to explain it.
Whatever - I shouldn't swim upstream on this one. Their baseball program is in great shape. I'll leave it at that.
Tirk, none of that makes any sense. Tommy Bowden? Whatever dude. Just plain got whipped. Now suck up and go to bed.
