Used to be football was a TEAM sport. Now it is moving toward 11 guys looking out for themselves. Just don’t buy the “looking out for himself” line. He is, or was, part of a team.
Hell why even play in the CFP if you are a top 10 pick? Why risk the top 10 signing bonus money for an amateur reward? Seems plain stupid to me. Once a player has secured his position, as predicted by Mel Kiper, he should just hang em up. This is the way it is these days. Millennials.
If it was me I would play but then I don't have that decision I make. As far as ruining my health for the benefit of some soulless corporation it's 1,000,000% certain that I would never do that. If I'm going to give that much effort it would have to be working for myself, which I have done. You can always get another job but you can't get your health back.
