Have you seen our coach... Bertman could win wth his talent and turn around and beat his talent with your talent.... (borrowed this from what someone said about Bear Bryant). Smoke was not the man to run this dynasty.. and has instead run it into the ground.

    Smoke blows!!!!!

He has got to go. This is his senior team, he finally got the pitchers to play decently, and now he can't figure out how to get them to hit the ball. If Skip were still coaching, he would have brought in some psychologists or something else motivational. What does Smoke do? His stupid self just stands in front of the micophone and says, "We don't know what is the problem, duh?????"

Skip needs to clean house and bring in a successfully established coach, not someone just because he has LSU ties. How about Rick Jones, Roy Tanner, Ron Morris, that guy from CS-Fullerton, or the guy from Arizona who used to be a CS-Fullerton?

Like I said earlier, there is still a lot of baseball left. USC maybe a college series team, but were playing at home people! Don't you think we should be able to win 1 game at home? I guess when you get beat by Centenary, that isn't a good sign. The reason is there isn't any leadership on this team, and people are just playing to play. It doesn't look like anyone is having fun out there. There is no continuity right now because the lineup is always being messed with. I mean did Smoke stay at a Holiday Inn last night?

For all the grammer police voice of reason pundit's: It is reasonable to expect LSU to contend for the SEC title and host a regional. That's not saying they won't get it done, but the product thus far is subpar.
I don't know about everyone else, but I prefer to shoot -4 rather than +4. But I guess that might be unreasonable to expect.

i really dont think that it is reasonable to expect LSU to host a regional at this point....they will be lucky to get out of SEC tournament, and after this weekend, I expect a tumble to around #20 in the polls...(deservedly....when they suit up on friday, it will be 1 month (28 days) since they've won a weekend series).....talk about under the gun.

Well, there is a lot of baseball to be played. Unlike football, one or two loses doesnt run you into the ground. But, the Tigers need to start winning some series. They will have probs with Ole Miss and Florida and some of the better teams, but, they need to sweep away some of those lower teams if they plan on gettin back in to regional or super talk. Even if they win 2 out 3 every weekend they still finish 17-13 not to impressive. They need a few sweeps.

Okay homer, please spin off your analysis.

I still don't see why it isn't reasonable to expect LSU to host a regional. Off the top of my head, don't we have 6 SEC weekends left and the tourney?

Yea we do... 3 of those against a scrappy Ole Miss.... at Vanderbilt who is 18-5 at home only because Baylor swept them.... and Ark who beat USC 2/3 in Columbia.... the way we are playing... we will be lucky to take 2 games out of the 9

I still think the telling factor is that LSU is 1-5 at home. You have a team that dominates at home and they are just flat out struggling there.
